You might have mastered your Latte, and know the difference between a Cold Brew and an Iced Coffee but how are your bartending skills. Can you take your coffee skills into the evening with the perfect Espresso Martini?
We have to admit that we’ve tried a few, experimenting with different types of brew, different syrups, and even different liquors but for our taste, below is the perfect Espresso Martini.
What you’ll need:
The Tools:
The Ingredients:
- Single or Double Espresso – (in this case Illy Classic Roast Beans)
- 25ml Vodka (we’ve gone for Stolichnaya)
- 25ml Kaluha
- 25ml Creme de Cacao White
The Method:
- Chill your Martini Glass by filling it with ice and cold water
- Add Ice to your Cocktail Shaker
- Brew your Espresso (single or double shot depending on taste)
- Add the Espresso, a shot of Vodka, a shot of Kahlua and a shot of Creme de Cacao to the shaker.
- Shake for 15-20 seconds.
- Empty the Martini glass of ice
- Place the strainer over the cocktail shaker and pour into your chilled glass – the strainer makes sure the ice stays put and just the liquid makes it into the glass.
- Top with three whole coffee beans
Then sit back and enjoy!
Or what adding a flavoured syrup if you’re looking to play with flavour combinations
